Despite the many new happenings at Innovista, we are also continuing to pursue on-going commitments. Our commitment to excellence in what we do, for instance, is exemplified by Rachel Lane (Innovista's Senior Leadership Coach) who is currently coaching 16 in the UK, Ireland, Austria and Romania, some of whom are now coaching other leaders, multiplying our impact. She has been wrapping up her coaching qualification study this past month. the qualification is the Advanced Diploma in Professional Coaching and Mentoring, accredited by the EMCC (European Mentoring and Coaching Council). She recently submitted her 40,000 word thesis-- evidence of her learning and practice as a coach.

Rachel continues to strive for excellence and growth in her own knowledge as she coaches young leaders, tackling issues with them that will inevitably surface in the context of everyone’s leadership journey. One such issue is that of delegation. Rachel shares:

“Most leaders hit the issue of delegation at some point - how much do I let go of controlling every part of the ministry, because I can basically do it better, or do I do what only I can do, and let others learn the rest?”

As a coach, Rachel encourages and equips young leaders to grow in their leadership skills. As a result she gets to see young leaders be determined to do better all the time, to chase the vision, and to being open to making hard decisions that ultimately make them better leaders of others and help them share the good news that life is best with God relevantly to their peers.
