Zerro: A Weekend for Dreaming

A few weeks ago a Zerro weekend was held in Georgia by volunteers, Michael Gusev and Irena Guseva, for 12 high school students. They tackled many difficult questions about life and God with a lot of “very lively discussion”.

As is often a concern with teenagers, this couple went into the weekend asking for prayer that the teens wouldn’t be playing pranks on each other and making open sharing difficult. Fortunately, God was there and created an environment of openness and sharing.

Many of the teens openly shared their thoughts and feelings as they discussed their dreams for the future and how God impacts those dreams. For many on the weekend it was their “first attempts to review their life, to share the moments of their life, to start to be honest with God.”

"...how do they see Him?"
“We shared the Gospel, telling the participants different stories and asked them to think about their relationships with God, who He is for them, how do they see Him?... I think it was a great time to stop and think.” Michael shared this insight and says that many of the teens were excited to show their parents the drawings/illustrations they made to represent their lives and showed interest in joining a small bible study that he leads.
